Nur Felix is a singer, songwriter & guitarist from Cape Town, South Africa. For over a decade Nur has been sharing his Folk-Pop/South African sound and uplifting music in theaters, music festivals and live music venues across South Africa.
Singing and composing from the heart, Nur’s music strikes a compelling balance between Contemporary Folk, Pop and Reggae. A few of his songs explores socially conscious themes such as Spirituality & Human rights, as well as personal reflection and a hopeful message for humanity. all carried by unique guitar riffs and melodies that are bound to uplift your soul and get you moving and grooving.
Nur’s music has been featured in several documentaries. His song ‘Peace Date’ (co-written with Nancy Beaudette) was a finalist for the International Peace Song awards in Los Angeles. The song did sold well in the US and Majority of the royalties generated from ‘Peace Date’ was used for sponsoring 20 new computers to Manenberg Primary School for the schools creative projects.
Currently Nur is preparing for the digital release of his first album ‘We Are All We Need’. This Album is an vibrant and textured compilation featuring a string quartet, singers from Cape Town Youth Choir, A brass section and full band.
